Abstract
Mucoceles are unusual cystic lesions filled with mucoid secretion. They develop secondary to blockage of the sinus drainage pathways. Despite their benign nature, their progressive growth can cause bone erosion and compression of adjacent structures. The frontal sinuses represent the most frequent site of occurrence. Managing sinus mucocele consists of surgical removal and sinus drainage.
We present the case of a 38-year-old male patient who presented with a 3-cm painful swelling of the left upper eyelid, causing ptosis. Radiological assessment suspected frontal mucocele with orbital and bone involvement. The tumour was removed through a trans ciliary incision. Reconstruction of the defect was performed with fat grating and Titanium mesh.
